Classically trained musicians added a touch of elegance to Tuesday’s Gala Evening.

The 2015 IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas’ Gala Evening capped off an eventful week of business and pleasure with a fun night of entertainment.

An 11-piece orchestra greeted attendees as they entered the ballroom, and Beatles tribute band British Invasion provided the evening’s special entertainment.

Attendees also enjoyed gourmet food, endless drinks, and an elegant atmosphere — the perfect way to unwind after two days of business in the IAADFS Trademarket.

Justin Weston, managing director of global travel retail for William Grant & Sons, enjoyed being able to mingle with others in the industry during the gala.

“We’re lucky to be in quite a friendly industry, so having something like this where we all get together is nice because we’re all in meetings during the day,” he said. “It’s a chance to network and talk about our issues and our opportunities. This gala gives everyone a chance to get together and have our worlds cross a bit better.”

Henriette Holmgreen, managing director of Marie Brizard, said the evening couldn’t have been better.

“This is great,” she said. “It’s great for networking, and also it’s a luxury business so it’s nice to enjoy a luxury gala as part of that. It’s a nice way to finish the show.”
