Prestige Wine Imports, a New York-based subsidiary of Gruppo Mezzacorona, is bringing its distinguished and diverse portfolio of high-quality Italian wines, from the Italian Alps to Sicily, to booth 437 at the 2015 IAADFS Show.

Leo Corredor, area manager for Canada, the Caribbean, and Latin America for Prestige Wine Imports, said he’s excited to showcase these items at the IAADFS Show.

“The IAADFS Show is the longest-running event for the duty free and travel retail industry,” Corredor said. “There is a great opportunity to network and build relationships among leaders in the industry — and also learn about new trends within the market.

“I’ve had the pleasure of attending the show on two occasions as a guest, and now feel that our full presence with a booth will enhance Mezzacorona’s exposure in the duty free market.”

Prestige is showcasing eight brands from its portfolio: Mezzacorona, wines from the Dolomites; Cliffhanger; Stemmari wines from Sicily; Rotari sparkling wines; Tolloy wines from Alto-Adige; Castello di Querceto wines from the heart of Chianti Classico; Righetti wines from Valpolicella; and Anterra modern wines from the Old World.

“The category continues to grow as more wines from the different regions in Italy expand in the marketplace, adding more diversity, taste, and value,” Corredor said. “Today’s consumer is always looking for something new at a fair price.”

While these wines have received international acclaim, they are all products that take a serious interest in preserving local taste profiles, methods, and traditions, he said. As ambassadors of these local legacies, each winery offers not only a quality product, but a window into its unique wine-making history and a tangible insight into what makes Italian wines some of the most celebrated in the world.

“We are looking forward to networking with industry leaders and introducing our brands to duty free companies in the region and potential distributing partners,” Corredor said.
