Sports Day 2016 kicks off with Fun Run/Walk

Enjoy the Florida scenery at this year’s 5K Fun Run/Walk.

IAADFS’ annual Sports Day will hit the ground running this year with the second annual Fun Run/Walk, extended this year to 5K.

Attendees are invited to get some fresh air and jog or walk on the grounds of the Orlando World Center Marriott. Participants will meet at 7:30 a.m. at the Fairway Terrace. The event is free, but pre-registration is required. A light continental breakfast will be provided following the event. The association would like to thank Essence Corp. for its sponsorship of this event.

For each person who participates in the Fun Run/Walk, IAADFS will contribute to a worthy charity.

Other Sports Day activities include:

Golf tournament

The 2016 golf tournament will take place at the Hawk’s Landing Golf Club at the Orlando World Center Marriott. The $145 golf registration fee includes greens and cart fees, continental breakfast, and refreshments. Club rental is $55, and shoe rental is $15. Tee time is 8:30 a.m. Sunday. IAADFS thanks American Caribbean Gateway/Macanudo Cigars for its sponsorship of the 2016 golf tournament.

Requests for golf pairings or foursomes must be submitted to IAADFS at no later than Friday, Feb. 26. While IAADFS will do its best to accommodate requests, they are not guaranteed. If you plan to submit a pairing request, please first confirm with your intended teammates that they have registered for golf.

Tennis tournament

The 2016 tennis tournament will take place at the Orlando World Center Marriott. The cost is $40 per person and includes court time, tennis balls, racket rental, continental breakfast, and refreshments. Breakfast will begin at 9:00 a.m., and the tournament starts immediately after the tennis pro creates teams.
