New Trademarket exhibitors look to establish niche markets

Among the nearly 200 exhibitors trying to grab the attention of attendees at the 2014 IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas are more than two dozen first-time or returning exhibitors trying to make a first impression that lasts.

IAADFS hosts workshop on liquids and gels

Beginning Jan. 31, airline passengers in Australia, Canada, Europe, and the United States were allowed to start carrying some liquids in bottles onto planes. An IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas education session Sunday addressed the effects of the rule change, and the message delivered was β€œIt’s too soon to know.”

Golf tournament comes up aces Sunday

After playing in Sunday’s IAADFS golf tournament, Rod Kourany, commercial vice president for Motta Internacional, Panama, walked away a double-winner.

Tennis tournament attracts top talent

Seventeen attendees participated in the 2014 IAADFS tennis tournament, supported by Russ Berrie. For about three hours, the players participated in six rotating partner doubles matches Sunday on the Orlando World Center Marriott’s four tennis courts β€” and the competition proved to be strong.

Soccer, Zumba participation numbers increase this year

An hour of sleep lost to Daylight Saving Time wasn’t enough to keep IAADS attendees away from the annual soccer tournament or the Zumba class. In fact, participation increased for both events, providing attendees with some fun exercise and early networking opportunities at the 2014 show.
